Event Details

You are invited to explore the healing power of meditation with Dr. Matthew Raider. Following a review of the latest clinical research on the effect of meditation on physical, mental and spiritual health, Dr. Raider will lead participants in a brief meditation.

If you have not tried meditation before, make a start now. If you already meditate on your own, experience the dynamic of meditating in a group setting. Participants in our Library Yoga classes are especially encouraged to enjoy this free alternate offering (no yoga this week) to enhance your practice.

Dr. Matthew Raider

Matthew Raider graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and has maintained a clinical practice in geriatric medicine. He was on the UConn Medical School faculty for several years and has coordinated the geriatrics curriculum for the Middlesex Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program for over 20 years. He serves as medical director of four health care facilities in the Middletown area.
